County’s benefits administrator wants day in court with Monday

Union County’s benefits plan administrator has filed a petition against a Union County woman.

American Administrators and its agent Frank J. DeMarco as plaintiffs have named Lois Monday defendant in a petition filed Friday in Union County District Court.

DeMarco is the owner of American Administrators of West Des Moines.

According to the petition, the plaintiffs demand a jury trial and are requesting a judgment be entered against Monday for compensatory damages in an amount to be proven at trial for statements made by Monday that allegedly injured the reputation of American Administrators and DeMarco. The petition claims American Administrators and DeMarco were exposed to public hatred, contempt or ridicule and injured in the maintenance of their business because of comments made verbally and in writing by Monday.
