A few questions

In regard to the article in the CNA Monday concerning the pending lawsuit that Frank DeMarco has filed against Lois Monday, I have a few questions.

1. Would this lawsuit have been filed if Mrs. Monday had not filed to be on the ballot for county supervisors?

2. Does Mr. DeMarco have an office in Creston?

3. Does he own property in Union County that he pays taxes on?

4. How many of our local insurance company representatives, of which we use at least six, were able to submit a bid to provide insurance for our county employees?

5. How many people are going to Des Moines to get insurance when we have fine insurance companies with compatible prices locally?

6. If Mr. DeMarco is an honest business man, he has nothing to worry about. No one person can ruin someone’s reputation. Usually, when one protests too much, there is something to hide. And I bet if Mrs. Monday dropped out of the pending election, chances are, these charges would be dropped.

7. Free speech is just that and letters to the editor are the writer’s opinion. And these opinions are mine alone. I am so glad we have a place to express our opinions.
