John Charles Mueller, 40, of Greenfield was cited for operation with an expired license after an accident 2:05 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Highway 34 and Iris Avenue.

According to a Union County sheriff’s report, Mueller, driving a 2005 Chevrolet east on Highway 34, struck the rear bumper of a 2004 Ford driven east on Highway 34 by Robert Lee Crawford, 68, 301 E. Harsh St., who had slowed his vehicle for a non-contact vehicle that was turning around in the intersection.

Damage estimates are $750 to Crawford’s vehicle and $1,500 to Mueller’s vehicle.
