The Red Hat Sisters met 8 a.m. Tuesday at Hy-Vee for breakfast with seven members present. 

Queen Nancy Young led the discussion planning the activities for January, including: 

• 55-Plus group for bingo and pizza today at Summit House.

• Meet Jan. 13 at Upper Crust for lunch.

• Jan. 18 meet at Creston meal site for lunch.

• Meet Jan. 20 at Summit House for 55-Plus potluck.

• Celebrate Chinese New Year Jan. 23 at Summit House.

Most members drew a secret sister name for this year and discussed doing a volunteer activity as a group for the year.
