Wilson, Brown wed in Oct. 1 ceremony

Roxanne Wilson and Jack Brown were married in an Oct. 1 outside ceremony at their home. The Rev. Tim Maxa of the United Presbyterian Church in Lenox officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Clifford and Lois Olsen. The groom is the son of the late Bill Brown and Lulu Brown of Prescott.

Maid of honor was Cheryl Olsen, sister of the bride.

Best man was Steve Brown, brother of the groom.

Ring bearer was Hayden Pottorff, grandson of the groom.

Dustie Brown, daughter of the groom, was the bride’s personal attendant and in charge of music and photography.

Honored guests were the groom’s mother, bride’s father, and Dustie Brown’s friend Allen Pottorff. Darrell Olsen, brother of the bride, was unable to attend.

Jim and Ben Wilson, sons of the bride, escorted the bride around to the front of the home where large pots of white and copper mums were placed.

The bride wore an ivory western gown she designed and made and western boots. Her bouquet was white mums.

The groom wore a brown western shirt and slacks with boots and turquoise tie.

A reception was held after the ceremony inside the couple’s home with a two-tiered cake made by the best man’s wife Sherrie.

Lois Olsen, the bride’s mother, fixed the meal and made the bouquet and boutonnières.

The bride and groom are both employees of Creston Community Housing, Regency Park and reside north of Creston.
