Lenox Police
Officers were informed 9 p.m. Monday of a 15-year-old female runaway from St. Joseph, Mo., believed to be in Lenox.
According to a Lenox Police report, the girl and a 22-year-old male from Creston were located. The girl was taken into custody and transported to Taylor County Sheriff’s Office. She was released to her parents.
A joint investigation with the Creston Police Department continues.

James Cottrell, 48, of Grant City, Mo., was issued a citation for failure to yield upon entering a highway after an accident at the intersection of the Michael Foods entrance and Brooks Street in Lenox 7:45 a.m. Tuesday.
According to a Lenox Police report, Cottrell, driving a 1995 Dodge, was leaving the Michael Foods parking lot turning north onto Brooks Street and struck a 2004 Jeep driven north by Pamela Riley, 60, of Lenox. Cottrell failed to clear his windows of frost and dew and did not see the approaching traffic.
Damage estimate to Riley’s vehicle was $3,000. Cottrell’s vehicle was considered a total loss.
