Thoughts on the fuel tax hike

At a meeting where raising the fuel tax from 21 to 31 cents (gas), 19 to 29 cents (ethanol) was part of the discussion, two-thirds of the people were in favor.
A few days back, OPEC raised fuel 10 cents a gallon. At a meeting held every a.m. to the local gossip shop, two-thirds of the crowd thought OPEC were S.O.B., the other one-third thought OPEC were horses asses.
I read recently that one engineer got a $10,000 raise. I guess that would take 100,000 gallons before the road sand got any of the 10 cent hike. That’s just using one employee as an example!
“Thought for the day”: How much of the 10-cent hike will get to the road fund?
