Accident

Jordan Scott Foote, 18, of Afton was cited for failure to yield upon making a left turn after an accident 4:41 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Wyoming Avenue and Taylor Street.

According to a Creston police report, Foote, driving a 1998 Chevrolet south on Wyoming Avenue, attempted to turn left onto Taylor Street and struck the rear driver’s side door of a 2010 Ford driven east in the inside lane of Taylor Street by Patricia Jo Wilson, 57, of Orient.

No injuries were reported. Damage estimates are $2,000 to Wilson’s vehicle and $1,500 to Foote’s vehicle.

No citations were issued after an accident 12:06 p.m. Tuesday in the parking lot of Wellman Dynamics, 1746 Commerce Road.

According to a Union County Sheriff’s report, Brandon Hurshel Whitfield, 24, 405 S. Oak St., driving a 2000 Ford, attempted to back out of a parking spot and struck a 2003 Chevrolet pickup driven north in the parking lot by Robert Allen Christensen Jr., 34, of Orient.

Damage estimates are $700 to Christensen’s vehicle and $2,000 to Whitfield’s vehicle.
