From Jim Stalker • Creston |  Thank heavens for people like Tony Henry! I had almost given up hope that someone could come up with such a spontaneous and crazy idea. On the outside, here’s a bunch of kids looking for fun. On the inside, wheels are turning, an idea is forming. Soon, a solution will be forthcoming and, using existing materials, a new invention is being built, “The Steamroller Couch Sled.” Does it sound ridiculous? Absolutely! The couch has been transformed into a sled. A Lazy-boy reclining sled is already in the thought stages for next year! This is the kind of thinking that built America! These are our future thinkers. I’m proud of them and encourage them to continue along those lines. Perhaps, people like Tony will solve the great problems of energy alternatives.

Here’s some food for thought. While the Steamroller Couch Sled would be a wintertime entertainment only, it might be fun to put wheels on the couch, recliner, etc., and have something like the Great American Furniture Races in Creston. I’m counting on people like Tony to pick up on these thoughts and develop them.
