Thank you from Creston Lions Club
From Beth Perry
Creston Lions Club member
The members of Creston Lions Club want to thank the community for supporting our projects. These include the sale of burning bushes, Fourth of July bingo, Candy Days, pork chop supper and others. The funds we raise are used in the community and elsewhere.
One of our on-going efforts is collecting eye glasses and hearing aids that are no longer being used. The glasses are refurbished and donated in developing countries. The hearing aids are refurbished and made available through the Iowa Lions Hearing Aid Bank to those who qualify. Both used eyeglasses and hearing aids can be deposited in containers located at Walmart, memorial room at the restored depot, Farm and Home, Southern Prairie YMCA, First Christian Church and the United Methodist Church. They will also be collected at the Lions Club spud supper 4 to 7 p.m. Feb. 23, which will be held at the United Methodist Church, 400 N. Elm, Creston.
