Andrea Clayton and Chase French of Creston are parents of a son born Sept. 8, 2012. Ryder Alan French weighed 8 pounds, 1 ounce and was 19 3/4 inches long.

Grandparents are Alan Clayton of Sharpsburg, Dawna Clayton of Maryland and Robert and Sandy French of Mount Ayr.

Great-grandparents are Darlene and Kenneth Abel and Mary Clayton, all of Creston, William French of Mount Ayr and Marylin and Kenneth Weeda of Tingley.
