Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Library board meeting was held 6 p.m. Aug. 20 in the genealogy room at Gibson Memorial Library. Eight members were present.

Marilyn Ralls reported final numbers for the summer reading program as follows:

Youths through 12 years, 231 signed up and 93 completed the program. Teens, 94 signed up and 29 completed the program. Adults, 110 signed up and 75 completed the program. Ralls also asked for FOL to pay for the hotel room in Dubuque for the October conference. Connie Harden motioned to approve. Krystal Irelan seconded. Motion approved.
