The weekly Kiwanis meeting was held 12:05 p.m. Tuesday at The Windrow with 22 members and two guests. Brad Lorenzen, incoming president, presided. Ed Ritter gave the prayer and was finemaster.

The program was Dr. Lonnie Miller, a new doctor at Creston Medical Clinic. Miller, a native of the Creston area, discussed vaccines for adults and how important they are as a preventive of shingles and flu.

It was announced that the Casey's on South Elm will be helping with the Kiwanis coat drive this year by being a place to drop off coats, besides Hometown Insurance. The coat drive is scheduled for October.

Ladies Lakeshore Auxiliary

Ladies Lakeshore Auxiliary met Wednesday.

Canasta winners were Barb Vietz, first; Joan Chubick, second; and Loretta Kelly, third.

Vietz won the door prize.

Marilyn Larimore will be hostess for cards and chatter Wednesday, Sept. 19.
