Katy Linn Eyberg and Thomas Brian Strub, both of Eagan, Minn., announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

Eyberg is the daughter of Sara Kendrick of Des Moines and Bob and Lucy Kendrick of Creston. Strub is the son of Michael and Anne Strub of Eden Prairie, Minn.

Eyberg graduated from Creston High School in 1999, received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa in 2003, and finished up with a master’s degree in social work from California State University, Sacramento. She is currently employed as a social worker at the United States Department of Veterans Affairs in Minneapolis, Minn.
