No citations were issued after an accident 6:52 p.m. Saturday on Highway 25.

According to a Union County Sheriff’s report, Frances Elizabeth Myers, 20, 1520 Highway 25, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet south on Highway 25 when the passenger side tires dropped off the roadway. Myers jerked the steering wheel to bring the car back on the roadway, lost control, went into the west ditch and hit the ditch embankment, which caused the vehicle to roll numerous times. The vehicle came to rest on the driver’s side.

Myers was transported by ambulance to Greater Regional Medical Center where her condition is unavailable.

Damage estimate is $5,000 to Myers’ vehicle.

No citations were issued after an accident 12:27 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Cherry Street Road and 150th Street.

According to a Union County Sheriff’s report, Christopher Dominic Pate, 28, 1404 Hewitt St., was driving a 2001 Chevrolet south on Cherry Street Road when a deer ran into the path of the vehicle. Pate’s vehicle struck the deer and then came to rest in the west ditch.

Pate and Ryan Karl Heatherington, 30, 1011 W. Adams St., a passenger in the vehicle, were both transported by ambulance to Greater Regional Medical Center where their condition is unavailable.

Damage estimate is $8,000 to Pate’s vehicle.
