LAMONI — Cheyanne Ashby was 20-24 at the net with 11 kills as Murray rolled over Lamoni in conference action, 25-22, 25-22, 25-14.

Both teams are now 4-3 in conference and 11-9 overall.

Madison Gonseth had six blocks with four by Megan Oswald. Hannah Barber had a team high seven digs. Kate Patton was 58-58 setting with 15 assits, contributed four digs and went 7-7 at the net with six kills.

Ashley Rider smacked five kills and had a pair of service aces.. Berber was 12-12 in serve receive and served 19-19 with four aces.

“We played good offense and defense tonight,” said Murray coach Jerry Shields, whose team takes on Seymour on Thursday.

Twin Cedars 3, Diagonal 0

DIAGONAL — Twin Cedars defeated Diagonal Tuesday, 25-12, 25-12, 25-16.

Coach Allison Hajek said her team had a good effort against a team that was ranked earlier in the season.

“The girls played quite well,” Hajek said. “We had some good rallies.”

Defensively, Kate Holmes had nine digs, Charlene Hingeley had six and Makayla Boothe contributed five. At the net, Elly Brown hit four kills with two blocks. Serving an ace each were Boothe, Hingeley and Mariah Kilgore.

Diagonal plays at Moulton-Udell on Thursday.
