Daniel Buck Busenbarrick, 26, 2237 Quail Ave., was charged 8:54 p.m. Tuesday at the Union County Law Enforcement Center for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.

According to a Creston Police report, officers were dispatched to the east side of Creston for a reckless driver that was swerving all over the road, and had struck another vehicle. The vehicle had license plate No. 313TZN, and a vehicle stop was performed on a vehicle matching the plates near the intersection of Highway 34 and Iris Avenue. The driver, identified as Busenbarrick, was transported to the Union County Law Enforcement Center. An officer noticed Busenbarrick had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his person, bloodshot, watery eyes and trouble keeping his balance. Busenbarrick refused standardized field sobriety testing, and admitted he had been drinking. He refused a preliminary breath test, and to give a sample of his breath and blood.

Busenbarrick is being held on $1,000 bond.
