Police
Manuel Luke Richardson, 27, 702 S. Poplar St., was charged 11:49 p.m. Wednesday at the Union County Law Enforcement Center on a Union County warrant for violation of a protective order.
According to a Creston Police report, Emily Riepe advised officers she has a protective order with Richardson, and he had been texting her. Riepe had text messages on her phone showing Richardson texted her at 4:25 p.m. Oct. 3 and 4:37 p.m. Sunday. Riepe stated when she was at The Pub Saturday, Richardson showed up and started yelling and screaming in her face. Riepe stated she left and went to the Twilight Zone, and Richardson followed to the Twilight Zone and was yelling at her. Officers spoke with witnesses who were with Riepe at the bar, and asked them to fill out written statements, which were similar to Riepe's statements. Officers confirmed there is an active protective order between Richardson and Riepe.
Richardson was released on $300 bond.
