Youth clinic

Creston girls basketball coach Larry McNutt is directing a fall youth clinic for girls in grades 3-8 starting next week.

The clinic will be held at Creston Middle School from 3:45 to 5 p.m. on four days: Oct. 15, Oct. 16, Oct. 18, Oct. 23. Cost is $15 and all participants receive a clinic T-shirt.

Participants may bring registration to the first clinic session or send to coach McNutt at Creston High School, 601 W. Townline, Creston, IA 50801. Checks are payable to Creston Basketball. Forms are available at local schools.

Fundamentals of the sport will be stressed in anticipation of the upcoming basketball season. The clinic will feature work on shooting, dribbling, defense, footwork, passing, rebounding and offensive skills.
