Panther freshmen fall; JV beats Huskies at home

Creston/O-M freshmen and junior varsity split with Winterset, as the ninth-graders fell short Friday at Winterset, 20-13, before the JV earned a 14-7 victory Monday night at Panther Field

Kyle Wynn passed for 109 yards and touchdowns to Jesse Johnson and Wyatt Thompson in Friday’s freshman contest, but the Panthers managed only 48 yards rushing.

With Winterset controlling the ball, some big numbers were put up by the Panther defense. Seth Maitlen had five solo and 27 assisted tackles and Brock Clayton had 16 assisted tackles with a fumble recovery.
