Jesse Daniel Harris, 1412 170th St., was charged noon Thursday at the Union County Jail on a Union County warrant for third-degree burglary and possession of stolen property.

According to a Creston Police report, at 2 p.m. Wednesday, the Creston Police Department, aided by the Union County Sheriff’s office, conducted a valid search warrant at the residence of Harris. During the execution of the search warrant, specific items were recovered that were positively identified as property of Terry Freeman. Freeman had reported a burglary that Harris was listed as a suspect in committing. The position of the items showed Harris was exercising control over the items he reasonably knew to be stolen from Freeman’s residence. It is a reasonable deduction that Harris entered an occupied structure with the intent to commit theft with no right or authority to do so. Harris did commit the theft completing the definition of burglary, and he took the stolen property to his residence. The value of the property recovered was $1,275.

Harris is being held on $5,000 bond.
