Eagles sail to regional final; Wolverines ousted
East Union defeated Murray 3-0 Friday in a Class 1A regional semifinal volleyball match in Afton, while Nodaway Valley fell 3-0 to Des Moines Christian in a Class 2A regional semifinal in Urbandale.
East Union, ranked 10th at 30-5, takes on No. 14 Grand View Park Baptist (28-6) in a regional final 7 p.m. Wednesday at Interstate 35 High School in Truro.
Unranked Des Moines Christian (27-6) faces No. 7 Treynor (29-6) in a 2A final Wednesday at Nodaway Valley High School in Greenfield.
