URBANDALE — Des Moines Christian swept Nodaway Valley 25-17, 25-16, 25-14.

Senior Kylee Thiner had 14 kills and served 16-16 for Des Moines Christian (27-6). Brynn Reichardt added eight kills, Olivia Rasmussen compiled 22 digs and Morgan Conn served 17-17 with two aces.

Junior Christine Gross had a team-high five kills for Nodaway Valley, which bowed out at 13-17. Megan McIntosh and Sydney Reeves each had four. McIntosh served 10-10 with an ace, and Ashley Thompson served 13-13 with one ace.

Sophomore Sidney Hohertz had two solo blocks. Junior Megan Eblen had a team-high 13 digs. Senior Shelby Venteicher had 12 setting assists. As a team, Nodaway Valley served 91 percent (43-47).

Seniors on NV’s varsity squad Friday were Lisa Marnin, Venteicher, Thompson and Reeves.
