Jeremy Joseph Seddon, 31, 500 N. Walnut St., was charged 3:41 p.m. Saturday at the Union County Law Enforcement Center for fifth-degree theft.

According to a Creston Police report, at 11:05 a.m. Friday, Seddon entered Walmart Supercenter, 806 Laurel St., and concealed a Sony Blue DVD player and 6-foot cable cord in his clothes, left the store by the automotive department and did not pay for the items. At 3:26 p.m. Saturday Seddon went to the Union County Law Enforcement Center where he was interviewed about the incident. During this time, Seddon admitted to an officer he had taken the items, values at $92.96, without paying for them.

Seddon was issued a police citation to appear.
