Douglas Edward Woodward, 26, 500 W. Montgomery St., was charged 7:15 p.m. Monday at his residence for possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.

According to a Creston Police report, officers received a report 7:06 p.m. Monday that an odor of marijuana was coming from the tenant in Apt. No. 2. Upon arrival, officers spoke to the complaintant. Officers went to speak with Woodward, and when he opened the door, a strong smell of marijuana was imminent. Woodward was asked if he had been smoking marijuana and he stated he had. Woodward offered to show the officers where the rest of his marijuana was located and the device used to smoke it. Officers conducted a search of the residence and found no other items of interest.

Woodward was released on $1,000 bond.
