Douglas Edward Woodward, 26, 500 W. Montgomery St., was charged 7:15 p.m. Monday at his residence for possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
According to a Creston Police report, officers received a report 7:06 p.m. Monday that an odor of marijuana was coming from the tenant in Apt. No. 2. Upon arrival, officers spoke to the complaintant. Officers went to speak with Woodward, and when he opened the door, a strong smell of marijuana was imminent. Woodward was asked if he had been smoking marijuana and he stated he had. Woodward offered to show the officers where the rest of his marijuana was located and the device used to smoke it. Officers conducted a search of the residence and found no other items of interest.
Woodward was released on $1,000 bond.
William Michael Bird, 19, 705 W. Montgomery St., was charged 8:17 p.m. Monday at his residence for domestic abuse assault.
According to a Creston Police report, Bird stated he had been arguing with his girlfriend. The female stated Bird had thrown a bottle at her and started pushing her. The female stated she was telling him to stop as she left, walked out the back door and called the police.
Bird is being held without bond.
Sheena Keeler, 610 N. Elm St., reported two tires on her 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe were cut while it was parked at her residence between 8 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 a.m. Monday.
Estimated loss is $500.
