Beau Taylor Klos, 20, of Afton was charged 4:02 p.m. Wednesday at the Union County Law Enforcement Center on a Union County warrant for violation of a protected order.

According to a Creston police report, Oct. 23 officers were dispatched to 900 N. Spruce St. to speak with a female about a violation of a protection order. The female stated she received a text message from Klos during the night and there was a valid protection order in place. Officers photographed the text message and confirmed there was a valid protection order in place. Officers spoke with Klos on the phone and Klos admitted he sent a text message to the protected party.

Klos was released on promise to appear.
