Six people were charged 1 p.m. Oct. 11 at Casey’s in Afton for unlawful assembly.

According to an Afton Police report, Charles Robb, 29, of Arispe was involved in a child custody dispute involving his ex-wife, JoAnn Shannon, and her husband, Del, and three minor children. The dispute involved yelling abusive threats and violent behavior on the part of Robb in an attempt to intimidate his ex-wife and her husband. Rosie Peterson, 31, of Arispe; Russell Peterson, 31, of Lorimor; Jennifer Steinbach, 18, of Northboro; Crystal Miller, 30, 407 N. Vine St.; Kathy Benedict, 56, of Afton, and Robb went to the Casey’s parking lot in Afton and blocked Shannon’s vehicle in the gas lane and tried to break into it. They began yelling and screaming, and attempted to fight with JoAnn and Del Shannon over custody of the minor children.

All six individuals were issued police citations to appear.
