Fishing report

SOUTHWEST

Nodaway Lake

Bluegill - Slow: Bluegills up to 8 inches can be caught with small jigs tipped with crawler around the brush piles.  Crappie - Fair: Fish minnows three feet under a bobber around tree piles. Jigs tipped with Berkley power bait is good for fish averaging 9 inches.

Lake Anita

Bluegill - Slow: Bluegills are being caught around brush piles. Tipping the jig with worms or Powerbait seems to help. Crappie - Slow: Anglers are having success jigging around cedar tree piles using minnows.

Viking Lake

Crappie - Fair: Crappies up to 10 inches are being picked up around cedar tree piles using minnows.

Green Valley Lake

The water level is still down 3 1/2 feet. The main ramp is easily accessible.  Largemouth Bass - Fair: A lot of small and midsized largemouth bass are being caught from around the flooded trees.

Summitt Lake

The spillway rebuilding project is complete but no run-off has reached the lake.

Three Mile Lake

The water level is down about three feet but the ramps are easily usable. Water temperature is in the 40s.
