Somers helps Waukee to 11th place

MARSHALLTOWN — Freshman Camryn Somers of Creston swam on four events for Waukee in the Warriors’ 11th-place finish at the Iowa Girls State Swimming and Diving Meet Saturday at Marshalltown YMCA.

The leading event for Waukee involving Somers was the 400-meter freestyle relay, which placed seventh in 3:37.94. Somers swam the leadoff leg.

Somers swam the freestyle anchor for Waukee’s 13th-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay in 1:52.26. She was the leadoff swimmer for the Warriors in a 13th-place finish in the 200 freestyle relay in 1:42.09.
