According to a Creston Police report, officers were dispatched to 212 North Cherry Street in reference to a domestic assault.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with Darren Wright and Ashly Johnson. Wright told officers they had got into an argument at the residence when Wright wanted to take their child to another place. Wright stated that Johnson got mad at him and bit him on the left side of the neck. Officers observed the bite mark on Wright’s neck.

When officer’s spoke with Johnson, she stated that they were involved in an argument and out of anger bit Wright in the neck with her teeth.

It was found that Johnson and Wright do have a child together and both reside at the residence.

Johnson was released on her own recognizance.

Shane Allen Dewees, 33, 314 1/2 North Sycamore Street was charged 9:15 a.m. Tuesday at the Law Enforcement Center on a Union County warrant for third-degree theft.

According to a Creston Police report, Casey’s West reported a gas drive-off at approximately 6:07 p.m. Oct. 11 to law enforcement. Casey’s reported that someone had taken $83.02 worth of gas without paying for it.

Dewees was released on a $2,000 bond.

Tessa Corinne Mullen, 20, 206 West Montgomery Street was charged 1:15 p.m. Tuesday at her residence on a Nodaway County, Mo, warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.

Mullen was released on $744.50 bond.

Brian Lee Atteberry, 22, 403 1/2 South Elm Street was charged 6:20 p.m. Tuesday at the Law Enforcement Center on a Union County warrant for third-degree harassment.

According to a Creston Police report, Atteberry called the victim at 1:29 a.m. Oct. 26 stating he was going to cause bodily injury to her. This was an annoyance and also alarming to the person receiving the call from Atteberry.

Atteberry is being held on a $300 bond.
