Baker, Wulf wed Aug. 25

Meredith Jo Baker of Urbandale and Donald Leonard Wulf of Des Moines were married Aug. 25 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Creston. The Rev. Joseph Pins officiated the ceremony.

Baker is the daughter of Paul and Lynn Baker of Creston. Wulf is the son of Vernon and Donna Wulf of New Liberty.

The matron of honor was Melissa Baker of Mount Vernon, sister of the bride.

Bridesmaids were Kristen Proskey of Urbandale, Kaelia Carlsen of Omaha, Neb., Sara Drolet of Genesee, Wis., Jackie Earles of Des Moines, Stefanie Swanson of Des Moines, and Julie Semsch of Durant, sister of the groom. Junior bridesmaids were Madison Semsch of Durant and Hannah Wulf of Tipton, nieces of the groom.

Flower girls were Kayla Semsch and Alyssa Wulf, nieces of the groom. Shelly Bierman was the bouquet attendant.

Best man was Scott Bierman of Ankeny.

Groomsmen were Tim Wulf of Tipton, Chris Wulf of Des Moines, and Dan Wulf of Tipton, brothers of the groom, Bob Schuler of Zearing, Rodney von Muenster of Sanwood, cousin of the groom, and Levi Buxton of Creston.

Ushers were Rocky Malloy of Mount Vernon, brother-in-law of the bride, Jason Schuler of Zearing, Shaun Larson of Clearfield, cousin of the bride, and Matthew Bradley of Greensboro, N.C., cousin of the bride.

Candlelighters were Brady Wulf of Des Moines and Jacob Wulf of Tipton, both nephews of the groom. Adam Baker of Creston and Todd Ramaeker were lectors. LeAnn Keenan of Harlan and Roger Baker of Creston were giftbearers. Connor Wulf of Tipton, nephew of the groom, was in charge of gifts.

Guest book hostesses were Alexis and Ashlyn Baker of Creston. Reception hosts and hostesses were John and Retta Baker of Creston and Brian and Michelle Calhoun of Maxwell. Personal attendants were Janelle Buxton of Des Moines, Abby Keegan of Mount Vernon, Jessica Ries of Cresco, Rhiannon Tessum of Afton, and Tara Grose of Mount Ayr.

Honored guest was Sheryl Keenan of Waukee, grandmother of the bride.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents. JoAnn Hartsook of Creston assisted in serving refreshments.

The bride is a graduate of Creston High School and Iowa State University. She is currently a marketing specialist at Community Choice.

The groom is a graduate of Bennett High School and is the owner of Wulf Contracting.

The couple reside in Urbandale.
