Clinton Marxen Boone

Clinton W. Marxen, 38, of Boone, formerly of Lenox, died Nov. 9, 2012.

Celebration of life services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, at Lenox Presbyterian Church. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Visitation will be 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday with family present 5 to 7 p.m. at Ritchie Funeral Home, 124 S. Main St., Lenox. Memorials may be directed to the family. Clinton Worthy Marxen, son of Betty (Murdock) and Stephen Marxen, was born Feb. 18, 1974, in Creston.

Clint attended and graduated from Lenox High School in 1992.

In 1997, Clint married Leah.

Clint started with the Union Pacific Railroad in Boone in 1997 as an engineer. While employed with Union Pacific, he received many awards.

Clint is survived by his children, Claire, Anna, Jacob and Cooper Marxen, all of Lake City; parents, Steve and Betty Marxen of Lenox; sisters, Becky (Mike) Smith of Lenox and Brenda (Tim) Njus of Waverly; grandparents, Stan Murdock of West Des Moines and Norma Marxen of Lenox; aunts and uncles, Maggie and Brent Wynja, Robert and Connie Marxen and Ralph Marxen; and many friends, nieces and nephew.

Clint was preceded in death by his grandmother Carol Murdock, grandfather Donald Marxen and aunt Barb Johnson.
