Creston

We would like to thank Mayor Warren Woods and the Creston City Council for their efforts in providing space in the restored Creston Depot for the Creston Art Gallery. During this past year, the public has been very supportive of the artists that have exhibited their art work at the gallery.

A great deal of thanks should be to the local merchants, businesses and individuals that have supported the art gallery. Many of the merchants have displayed work of the artists in their business. Much of the art work is available for sale to the public. We should also give a thank you to KSIB radio. The Grape Vine program has been very helpful in publicizing the exhibts each month at the gallery.

Carolyn and I were very pleased to be selected to display our art work at the art gallery during the month of November. On Friday night the 2nd of November, we were very happy to have over 70 people attend the opening of our exhibit.

During the month of December, a gentleman from the Quad Cities will be displaying his watercolor paintings. We hope the residents of Creston will make him welcome by attending his exhibit.

During the month of November, the art gallery will be open Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. On Saturday and Sunday, the gallery will be open from 1 to 4 p.m.
