Brett Deane George, 46, 1623 Vanilla Ave., was charged 2:19 a.m. Saturday for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.

According to a Creston Police report, a traffic stop was conducted. on a gray Chevy truck for failure to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Townline Street and Sumner Avenue. The driver, George, had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage, blood shot, watery eyes, slurred speech and a Budlight box visible in the backseat of his vehicle.

George consented to a standardized field sobriety test, but was unable to perform any of the test. George did not consent to a preliminary breath test stating that he would not pass.
