Police
Brett Deane George, 46, 1623 Vanilla Ave., was charged 2:19 a.m. Saturday for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.
According to a Creston Police report, a traffic stop was conducted. on a gray Chevy truck for failure to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Townline Street and Sumner Avenue. The driver, George, had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage, blood shot, watery eyes, slurred speech and a Budlight box visible in the backseat of his vehicle.
George consented to a standardized field sobriety test, but was unable to perform any of the test. George did not consent to a preliminary breath test stating that he would not pass.
George was transported to the Law Enforcement Center where he consented to a sample of his breath. Data Master indicated George had a blood alcohol content of .214.
George was released on promise to appear.

Dustin James Seely, 212 South Pine Street, reported the door of his residence was kicked in between 6:18 and 6:22 p.m. Saturday, a console TV was damaged and an area of carpet and wall were damaged by a small fire.
Damage estimate is $550.
