A book sale was held Oct. 25 and netted $1,000.

There will be a winter apparel sale Dec. 5 in the D.V. Richardson Room. This is open to the public.

There will be a jewelry sale Dec. 13 in the MAP Conference Room.

A bloodmobile was held Nov. 5 at Trinity Lutheran Church hall and 98 units exceeded the goal of 94. The next bloodmobile will be Feb. 25.

The next meeting will be Dec. 12 at Annette Rice’s home for a brunch and meeting.

Kiwanis

The weekly Kiwanis meeting was 12:05 p.m. at The Windrow with 21 members and one guest. Brad Lorenzen president, presided. Korina Loudon gave the prayer, and Craig Mittag was finemaster.

The program was Chuck Scott, interim superintendent of Creston Community Schools. He gave the club his thoughts on the status and progress of the school system from his early observations and also gave a timetable the school board is using in finding a permanent superintendent.

Ladies Lakeshore Auxiliary

Ladies Lakeshore Auxiliary met Wednesday.

Canasta winners were Marilyn Larimore, first; Gwen Sandeman, second; and Barb Bills, third.

Maxine May won the door prize.

Darlene Rutherford will host cards and chatter Nov. 28.
