Paul William Daniels, 28, 119 W. Montgomery St., was charged 1:20 a.m. today for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, second offense and driving with a revoked license.

According to a Creston Police report, a traffic stop was conducted for a traffic violation at the intersection of Sumner and Laurel streets. The driver, Daniels, had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage, blood shot, watery eyes and admitted to having three beers.

Daniels consented to a standardized field sobriety test, which indicated multiple clues of impairment. Daniels consented to a preliminary breath test, which indicated a blood alcohol content of .214.
