Police
Paul William Daniels, 28, 119 W. Montgomery St., was charged 1:20 a.m. today for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, second offense and driving with a revoked license.
According to a Creston Police report, a traffic stop was conducted for a traffic violation at the intersection of Sumner and Laurel streets. The driver, Daniels, had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage, blood shot, watery eyes and admitted to having three beers.
Daniels consented to a standardized field sobriety test, which indicated multiple clues of impairment. Daniels consented to a preliminary breath test, which indicated a blood alcohol content of .214.
A previous criminal history check revealed Daniels was previously charged for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated on Sept. 9, 2010, in Illinois.
Daniels is being held on $2,000 bond.

Jacob Taylor Salmans, 18, 1501 W. Townline St., was charged 10 p.m. Wednesday on a Cass County warrant for distribution of marijuana.
He was released to Cass County.
