Local businesses prepare for Black Friday

The tradition of crawling out of bed early Friday, with sleepy eyes and bed head, to take advantage of deep discounts on televisions, laptops, cell phones, apparel and more continues this year.

Black Friday deals at Radio Shack and Chat Mobility, 600 W. Taylor Suite A, will begin 6 a.m. Friday and include deals on the Digix tablet and Toshiba laptop, among other electronics. (For all their deals, see the Radio Shack insert in today’s paper)

“Black Friday is becoming more and more popular,” said Tonya Rehmeyer, Radio Shack associate. “The last two years we’ve been so busy. We have had 15 or so people standing outside.”
