Shawnna Curtis — Creston

Shawnna Curtis, 26, of Creston, died Nov. 21, 2012, east of Stanton from injuries resulting in a vehicle/deer accident.

Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1000 Cottonwood, Creston. Burial will be private. Powers Funeral Home, junction of highways 25 and 34, Creston is assisting with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family. Shawnna Michelle (Powell) Curtis, daughter of Michael Alan Powell and Judy Kay (Fowler) Powell, was born on Aug. 11, 1986, in Emporia, Kan.  She was baptized as one of the Jehovah’s Witnesses Dec. 12, 1998, and volunteered much of her time helping others learn about the Bible.
