David Dinkel, 80, of Omaha, Neb., died Nov. 19, 2012.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at West Center Chapel Heafey-Hoffmann-Dworak-Culter, 7805 West Center Road, Omaha, Neb., with military rites by Benson VFW Post 2503. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Booneville Cemetery in Waukee. Memorials may be directed to the family or Douglas County Health Center Chapel.
David Earl Dinkel was born Sept. 25, 1932, in Council Bluffs.
David is survived by his children, Diana Chadwell, Pam Hennessey and Brian Dinkel (Lisa); brother Boyd Griffith; sister Marilyn Doolittle (Chip); six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
David was preceded in death by his wife Irene; father Earl; and mother and stepfather, Ruth and Vester Griffith, formerly of Creston.
