Lea Rose White, 26, 302 S. Maple St., was charged 12:19 p.m. Friday at 804 W. Taylor St. on a Madison County warrant for failure to appear.

White was released on a $2,500 cash bond.


Jason Robert Oglesbee, 49, 205 E. Mills St., and Timothy Charles Fetcher, 49, 619 N. Birch St., were charged 3 p.m. Saturday for third-degree theft and third-degree criminal mischief.

According to a Creston Police report, officers were dispatched to Walmart on complaints that two males, driving a gold pickup, had broken into a secure display case. Each subject had placed a laptop computer inside their coats and left the store without paying. A manager identified one of the subjects to be Fetcher.

Officers located the suspect’s vehicle in the 600 block of North Birch Street with two occupants identified as Oglesbee and Fetcher. Officers proceeded to Walmart to verify the complaint and review video surveillance tapes.

Oglesbee and Fetcher were then located at Oglesbee’s residence where they turned over the two laptops to officers.

Damage estimate is $1,200 to the display cases, and each laptop is valued at $600.


Shelby Bishop, 810 W. Adams St., reported someone entered her residence between 7:30 and 10:10 p.m. Friday and a Samsung television and Xbox were taken.

Loss estimated at $1,600.
