From Jacki Steffen, executive director, Southern Prairie YMCA
I would like to take this time, in the spirit of the season, to thank all those who have been such a great support to the Southern Prairie YMCA this past year. We have come through some challenging times these past seven months and are very grateful for your patience and understanding throughout our reconstruction. Maybe it was a blessing in disguise as it gave us the opportunity to not only make tornado repairs but to update the entire facility. Please come and check out the renovated locker rooms, new synthetic gym floor, new family locker rooms and general spruce ups throughout the facility. We think it looks great and we hope you do too.
We are better and brighter and I encourage all to come, visit the Y and see the changes.
I am thankful for our many donors, both members and nonmembers, who see the benefit of a YMCA in their community, and for making the Y their charity of choice.
I am thankful to our board of directors for looking out for the future of the Y, making sure that the Y exists for generations to come.
I also give thanks for our Y staff for being committed to our membership and our community by providing programs and services that makes our community a healthier place to live.
The Y is now open for all activities. We’re excited about our future. For this, we thank you for choosing the YMCA to be your place for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
