Gayle was born and raised in Emmetsburg, Iowa.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Richard “Dick” Ryan, her son Mark Ryan and his wife Kay, her daughter Sheri Wescott and her husband Jim, and her son James “Todd” Ryan; her grandchildren, Madeline Ryan, Ryen Wescott, Savannah Wescott and Cody Ryan, and her beloved dog Indy.
