Larry Schrader, 72, of Lenox died Nov. 25, 2012, at his home.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Lenox United Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in North Cemetery in Lenox. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. today with family present 6 to 8 p.m. at Ritchie Funeral Home, 124 S. Main St., Lenox. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Southwest Iowa, the Presbyterian Church or Lenox Fire Department. Online condolences may be left at www.ritchiefuneralhome.com.

Larry Dale Schrader, son of Alma (Bissell) and George Schrader, was born Sept. 15, 1940, in Adams County, southwest of Cromwell.

Larry grew up five miles west of Lenox on the farm.

On Nov. 18, 1956, Larry married Bonnie Tully at her parent’s home.

The family moved into Lenox in 1965.

Larry worked several jobs over the years. He worked at Sheridan Produce, as well as road construction. He worked on the farm and tended cattle, along with the other jobs he had.

In November 1974, Larry went to work for Lenox School as custodian, a position he held for 28 years, retiring in 2002.

Larry was a member of Lenox United Presbyterian Church.

Larry is survived by his wife Bonnie Schrader of Lenox; sons, Kirk (wife Susan) Schrader of Johnston, Brent (wife Laura) Schrader of Stanton, Shane (wife Renee) Schrader of Bedford, Todd (wife Sandy) Schrader of Bolivar, Mo., Troy Schrader of Arkansas and Shad (wife Lori) Schrader of West Des Moines; daughter Tina (husband Jerry) Ecklin of Diagonal; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; brother Don Schrader; and grandchildren, Clinton and Dallas Schrader.
