RED OAK — Tucker Flynn had 10 points and seven rebounds for Creston seventh-graders in a 31-27 loss to Red Oak Monday. Red Oak led 12-6 at halftime.

Coach Todd Jacobson said it was a typical first game for seventh-graders.

“We played much more intense basketball in the second half,” Jacobson said. “We gave ourselves a chance in the end, but Red Oak was able to knock down a few shots and made their free throws to pu the game away. They started slow, but figured out the level of intensity that it took to be successful in the second half.”
