Jesse Daniel Harris, 22, 1412 170th St., was charged 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Union County Law Enforcement Center on a Union County warrant for violating conditions of his release.

Harris is being held on $25,000 bond.

Susan Rea Lemon, 44, 409 S. Vine St., was charged 8:55 p.m. Tuesday for third-degree theft.

According to a Creston Police report, officers were dispatched to the Fareway store in Creston regarding a shoplifting incident. Witnesses reported a female had taken two bottles of alcohol and placed them in her purse without paying for them.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the female suspect and recognized her to be Lemon. Lemon admitted she had taken two bottles of wine because she could not afford to pay for them.

Lemon was released on a $2,000 bond.

Matthew Dalyne Gaede, 23, 3053 177th St., was charged 12:11 a.m. Wednesday at 1408 East Howard Street on a Union County warrant for simple assault.

According to a Creston Police report, officers were dispatched to 619 North Cherry Street in reference to a fight. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a male subject who was assaulted. The male subject stated Gaede had punched him in the face with his fist and also wrestled him to the ground. The victim stated that this was over an ex-girlfriend. Several witnessed were on the scene. The victim and witnesses went to the Law Enforcement Center where they filled out written statements and officers took a photo of the victim’s face.

Gaede was released on $300 bond.
