David Dewayne Richman, 30, 109 N. Oak St., was charged 3:15 a.m. today for third-degree public intoxication.

According to a Creston Police report, Richman walked in to the Union County Law Enforcement Center and requested to be arrested for public intoxication. Richman was staggering when he entered the building and had slurred speech and blood shot, watery eyes. A criminal history check showed Richman had previous charges of public intoxication on his record.

Richman was transported to Union County Jail.


Adrian Allan Jacques, 29, 300 N. Oak St., was charged 8:15 p.m. Monday for domestic assault.

According to a Creston Police report, a female reported that another female was assaulted by Jacques. The female victim reported Jacques had waited for her at their shared residence and began to push her as she entered the residence carrying a minor child. Jacques pushed the female again and it resulted in her falling and the child’s head bumping the wall. Jacques took the female victim’s phone and keys and left the residence.

The female caller and female victim provided written statements. Department of Human Services was notified and accepted the incident for investigation.

The female victim and child met with DHS, the officer, and county attorney on Tuesday. A small bruise was visible and consistent with the reported cause of the mark.

Jacques was released on $300 bond.


Dylan Daniel Meggison, 16, 608 N. Birch St., was referred to juvenile authorities for simple assault.

Meggison was released to an adult.
