Griswold 57, Corning 38
GRISWOLD — A 22-6 second quarter spurred Griswold to a 57-38 win over Corning here Thursday.
Ryan Carlson led the Red Raiders with 11 points, while Lane Peterson and Keegan Longabaugh each added six points. Longabaugh also pulled down five rebounds and finished with four assists.
Nick Spring scored four points and had a team-high nine rebounds. Clint Mullen scored four points while Blaine Williams and Spencer Bull each added three. Trevor Sorensen scored one point.
“For our first game, with no returning starters from last year, we played fairly well,” head coach Pete Nett said. “Their press only gave us real trouble during one stretch, and we gave up more offensive rebounds than we should have, but all in all, I was not displeased with our effort and intensity.”
